Charles W. Krueger, PhD
Chief Executive Officer and Founder
Dr. Charles Krueger is an acknowledged thought leader in the PLE field, with more than 25 years of experience in software engineering practice and more than 60 articles, columns, book chapters, conference keynotes and session presentations. Through active involvement in key industry events and organizations, he brings innovative PLE concepts, new generation methodologies and success stories to the forefront of the systems and software engineering community. Dr. Krueger has proven expertise in leading commercial product line development teams, and has played an instrumental role in establishing some of the industry’s most notable PLE practices at leading companies in automotive, aerospace and defense, aviation systems, alternative energy, e-commerce, and computer systems. He received his PhD in computer science from Carnegie Mellon University.
Paul Clements, PhD
Vice President of Customer Success
One of the founding fathers of the PLE field, Dr. Paul Clements brings to BigLever in-depth systems and software architecture and analysis expertise, applied research experience, and insight for helping commercial organizations define pragmatic solutions to complex engineering problems. Clements assists BigLever customers in applying the latest PLE approaches, creating optimized deployment plans, and establishing successful ongoing PLE practices. He was previously a senior member of the technical staff at The Carnegie Mellon Software Engineering Institute (SEI) where he gained recognition as co-creator of the book Software Product Lines: Practices and Patterns, the SEI's first product line case study, the SEI Framework for Product Line Practice, the SIMPLE modeling language for product line economics, and the International Software Product Line Conference. Prior to the SEI, he was a computer scientist with the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory. Clements received his PhD in computer science from The University of Texas at Austin.
Vice President of Integrations and Support
Glenn Meter is responsible for defining and implementing integration strategies for the ongoing expansion of BigLever’s industry-standard PLE Lifecycle Framework. In addition to overseeing the company’s support organization, Meter collaborates with partners and third party tool vendors to plan and manage integration efforts that meet customer demand. Prior to BigLever, Meter worked as Director of Development Environments for Metrowerks, a subsidiary of Freescale Semiconductor, where he managed development of the company's CodeWarrior Integrated Development Environment. Meter began his career in software tools development at Carnegie Mellon University.
Drew Stovall, PhD
Vice President of Engineering
Drew Stovall oversees the architecture, development and evolution of BigLever Software's core product offering. Stovall brings more than 10 years of experience in software research and development to the team. Prior to joining BigLever, he held engineering positions at several Austin software development firms including Trilogy, Convergys and eBay. His expertise includes pervasive computing environments and software architecture for maintainability and testing. Stovall holds a PhD in Software Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin.
Vice President of Marketing
A 25-year marketing veteran, Cathy Martin leads BigLever's marketing through the development of the company's positioning and messaging strategies and informational marketing approaches. Martin oversees BigLever's partner co-marketing programs, public relations, events, and online marketing efforts. Martin has created ground-floor go-to-market strategies for a spectrum of technology startups. Previously, she held management positions at Vignette Corporation and Pervasive Software. As an adjunct professor, Martin created entrepreneurial marketing courses for the MBA program at St. Edward's University. Her background includes a BBA in marketing from the University of Mississippi and post-graduate work in Communications at The University of Texas.
General Sales Executive
John Carrillo is the General Sales Executive responsible for all revenue growth at BigLever Software. Carrillo brings more than 20 years of experience in defining and implementing successful sales strategies for leading companies in software-based systems manufacturing and commercial IT industries. Prior to BigLever, he held a variety of executive level sales and strategist positions at Serena Software, IBM Rational Software, and Telelogic. In his previous roles, Carrillo defined value-based solution selling methodologies that increased company revenues and enabled customers to achieve key business goals. His expertise includes expanding sales into emerging markets, establishing strategic business partnerships, building and mentoring small to large sales teams, defining sales development processes, and maximizing the performance of field sales. He holds advanced degrees in Electrical Engineering and Sociology from Loyola Marymount University and California State University at Long Beach.
