A: Many UML tools can be used with Gears to manage software and systems in a product line.
Bridge Add-ons, such as the Rhapsody Gears Bridge, extend the Gears Software Product Line Framework to support variation in UML models. Based on the features specified for a given product, model elements can be included, excluded, or modified in the generated product.
